Beywatch
was born in the snowy weather of the Northeast. This gawky but
pretty yearling with an exceptional neck had shown great motion and
just kept growing into a fancy, athletic two year old.
Garnering a show championship, the "unknown" youngster then was
named Regional Champion over previous Regional, Top Ten and World
Champion Stallions.
This excitement was interrupted however, when an injury on icy
ground left Beywatch literally "in stitches" (many) on his left
pastern; a slow recovery had begun.
Despite his set back, he continued
to grow into a tall, elegant and athletic young stallion.
He started preparing for the U.S. Futurities conditioning at
Stachowski Farms.
He took his fancy pedigree (four
crosses to Balalajka and his legendary granddam TW Forteyna) his
beautiful body, his big trot and amazing heart into the ring in
Louisville, Kentucky where he earned the title of
1998 U.S. National Top Ten Futurity Colt. In 1999,
Beywatch started his performance career and was crowned 2000
Region XV Champion English Pleasure Jr. Horse and was Region 18
Reserve Champion Open English Pleasure horse in 2001. |
